My name is Thobile Maphumulo, I am from Umlazi township. I have a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Geography obtained in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Geography obtained in 2024 both from University of Zululand. For my honours degree research I studied the recent cut-off low events affecting the south eastern parts of KZN which brought further interest in environmental management, climate change adaptation and meteorology. I plan to further r my studies in Applied Climatology and become a Climate scientist. I am passionate about applying my skills and theoretical knowledge into practice for by helping  people understand and learn to adapt to the environmental changes.
