Mfundo Myende
Mfundo Myende provides the INR with technical support as a field officer for sustainable agriculture and natural resource management projects. He began his journey as a local environmental champion with Liberty NPO. He completed a 3-year Groen Sebenza Capacity Building Programme in Natural Resource Management (NRM) under the DUZI UMNGENI CONSERVATION TRUST, where he coordinated and facilitated education, training, and project management.
Mfundo holds a national diploma and an advanced diploma in agriculture, majoring in animal and plant production, and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in agribusiness at the University of South Africa. He has also participated in the Training of Trainers course by Amanzi for Food through Rhodes University, focusing on rainwater harvesting and conservation practices.
His interests include the natural environment, community development, sustainable agriculture, and health and well-being. At the INR, Mfundo supports agricultural projects, working towards creating climate change resilience and adaptation through conservation agriculture.
