The INR welcomes intern, Zwelakhe Maseko, to our team. Zwelakhe holds a BA in Environmental Planning and Development, and a BA-Hons and MA in Geography. He is a graduate of the University of Zululand and grew up in, and attended high school in Empangeni. He is passionate about researching the social dimensions of natural resource management. He has contributed to a book chapter, “Conservation, Land Conflicts and Sustainable Tourism in Southern Africa: Contemporary Issues and Approaches”, which is to be published in May 2022. He will be working closely with our Agriculture and Rural Livelihoods Theme during his time at the INR.
