Snethemba Ndlovu | Junior Scientist

Snethemba Ndlovu holds a Master’s in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Since starting as an environmental science intern at the Institute of Natural Resources, she has advanced progressively in applied research and acquired skills which make her a suitable addition to the ecosystems theme. As project leader of a JNCC-INR nappy waste pollution project, she has written and submitted project concept notes and proposals that have been approved for additional funding. She has also worked closely with communities and facilitated workshops to co-design a community-led solid waste awareness campaign. She has technical skills and ample experience in using data science products such as ArcGIS, QGIS, SPSS and R-Studio. Furthermore, she is among the few female licenced drone pilots in South Africa.
