Thabo Makhubedu (PhD Crop Science) | Senior Scientist

Thabo Makhubedu holds a BSc in Biological Sciences, BSc Honours in Botany and MSc in Agriculture. His primary research and career focus is on understanding how nodulated legume species are able to accumulate greater concentrations of macro-and micronutrients in nutrient-poor environments. He will be working on a wide range of projects ranging from catchment restoration to conservation agriculture and agroforestry. His skills in monitoring the utilization and conservation of threatened wild medicinal plants in both protected and unprotected areas will also be valuable in the work that we do with rural communities.
