An interdisciplinary research scientist working across the Natural and Social Sciences on projects focused on integrated environmental management, sustainability science, climate change, higher education, research commercialization and entrepreneurship. He has served as an Associate Professor of Plant Physiology, Executive Director of the Institute of Natural Resources NPC and Grants, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Technological Higher Education Network South Africa. He has over 20 years research and facilitation/teaching experience. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of the Western Cape; Adjunct Member of the Graduate Faculty at the Water School-Florida Gulf Coast University; Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Natural Resources NPC; a member of the Academic Expert Panel for The Biodiversity Futures Initiative (UK); a member of the Seed Storage Committee for the International Seed Testing Association; and Working Group Member of the African Bioeconomy Coalition. He is presently a Project Manager for internationally funded projects on University-Industry co-operation on Entrepreneurship Education, Research Commercialization and Environmental Pollution, and serves as Research Manager for The Climate Mobility Community Action Network, and Fundraising and Partnerships Advisor for the Impact Amplifier Foundation.
