28-year-old Mthobisi Mbongeni Gwala is the newest addition to the INR team. A resident of  Elandskop Pietermaritzburg, Mthobisi has a Level 4 Primary Agriculture Certificate from Elangeni TVET College and also a National Certificate in Agriculture Production Management from Kirkwood Community College (United States Of America). He has been working with communities in the area (developing and enhancing agricultural skills) since 2016 with different projects and has joined the INR as a Field Officer on the Herding for Health project.

He is grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity as he is very passionate about working with local communities. He hopes to also draw on his own farming skills gained through owning a mini farm at home which includes raising calves, vegetable seedling production, vegetable production, poultry and pigs. The INR welcomes him on board.
