
Hlengiwe Zuma | Field Officer
Hlengiwe Zuma, having completed an internship now joins the INR as a Field Officer. She holds a BTech in Tourism Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree with research focusing on solid waste management. Hlengiwe has extensive experience working in rural communities, engaging with diverse stakeholders at various levels, and leading outreach activities in environmental management. She also worked as a youth environmental coordinator at the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE) based in Impendle Local Municipality. Her time at DFFE and INR has equipped her with valuable skills in facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and addressing environmental challenges in rural settings. Hlengiwe is passionate about rural development and the sustainable use and preservation of natural resources and landscapes.
